My Bio

I am an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church. I am senior pastor of New Providence Church in Fayetteville, Georgia.

My bride, Leslie Marie, and I have 5 terrific kids. I have a B.A. in Broadcast/Media Communications from Asbury University, a Masters of Divinity from Wesley Biblical Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.

I have served as the head of two Christian schools as well as on the administrations of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Emmaus Biblical Seminary in Haiti, and Wesley Biblical Seminary. I have also served in various roles in church planting and pastoral ministry.

My purpose is to engage hearts and minds for holy kingdom living. As one called to be a pastor-theologian, my passion is guiding people to more deeply understand the Bible’s redemptive story and to love the right things in the right order (discipleship) as followers of Jesus. I love teaching and preaching, vision-casting, Biblical theology and theological discipleship of laity, developing other leaders, problem-solving, building and equipping teams, and pastoral counseling.

God’s calling on my life has been to the teaching and discipleship work of the church. My vision of ministry is anchored in 4 core principles: preaching Scripture as the authoritative Word of God; modeling and calling others to personal and social holiness; creating effective discipleship structures for believers at all stages of maturity and life; and empowering every member of the body to engage in ministry by investing in and multiplying leaders.
